Becoming Her

HOW THIS BEGAN

Twenty three years ago, I sat down and wrote a list.

Not a vision board. Not a set of affirmations. A very specific, very honest list of every quality I wanted in a partner. I specifically wrote down “kindness” & "someone who would happily make me a cup of tea". And I wrote it from a place of genuine worthiness, knowing that I deserved nothing less than this.

But that list wasn't written from nowhere. It was written on the other side of something.

Before that relationship, I had spent many years in one where I lost myself. I accepted low quality behaviour & emotionally abusive for a long time, the kind that slowly erodes your sense of worth until you can barely remember who you were before. Until I walked away, leaving everything but taking my cat & my clothes.

Walking away was one of the most important things I have ever done. Because it was the moment I chose myself. The moment I decided that what I felt on the inside. my own sense of worth mattered more.

And so I wrote the list. Not desperately. Not from lack. But from a quiet, grounded certainty that this woman, the one who had finally chosen herself deserved every single thing on it.

We are still together twenty-three years later. And he still happily makes me a cup of tea most mornings.

I’ve loved manifestation for as long as I can remember, the feeling of it, the possibility of it, the way it asks you to believe in something before you can see it. But for years something felt incomplete. I read everything I could find and yet there was always a gap between the wanting and the becoming - an action piece that felt missing, a distance between who I was and who I was trying to become that I couldn’t quite close.

That changed when I found the work of Dr Joe Dispenza  & specifically his understanding of what it truly means to believe, behave and become.

What landed most deeply for me was this: in the quantum field, there is no separation between you and your future self. The version of you who already has what you desire  - who already feels peaceful, abundant, confident, alive  -  she is not a distant destination. She exists now, in the field, as a real and present possibility. And the way you reach her is not by thinking harder or wanting more desperately. It is by feeling your way into her emotional reality so completely that your body, your nervous system and your energetic signal begin to match who she already is.

Because here is what the science of the quantum field tells us & what my own life has shown me to be true: We do not attract what we want. We attract what we are.

And who we are is not determined by our thoughts alone. It is determined by the emotional signal we are broadcasting — the felt sense of reality our body is living in moment to moment.

Which means the most powerful question is not what do I want?

It is  -  can I feel stronger than I currently think?

Can I feel peaceful before the chaos resolves? Abundant before the money arrives? Confident before the world reflects it back to me? Can I live in the emotional signature of my future self now  so completely that my nervous system stops waiting for permission to become her?

That is what this work is built on.

And it is why feeling is not the final step in this process. It is the very first one.

WHAT IS FUTURE SELF COHERENCE?

Most manifestation approaches ask you to think your way into a new life  -  to visualise, affirm, & believe harder.

This is different.

Future Self Coherence is the practice of feeling your way there.

Rather than imagining your future self from a distance, these sessions guide you into the actual emotional and somatic experience of who she already is  -  her nervous system, her sense of safety, her relationship with herself, her sense of wholeness.

When your body learns to live in the emotional signature of your future self now - not as a distant hope, but as a present, embodied reality, something stirs.  Not just in your mindset, but in how you move through the world, the choices you make, what you allow in, & what you quietly begin to release.

This is manifestation as inner coherence. As nervous system safety. As becoming.

WHY EVERY SESSION BEGINS WITH HEART-BRAIN COHERENCE

Before any Future Self journey begins, you will be guided through a short heart-brain coherence practice,  typically just 5 minutes.

This is not incidental. It is the foundation of everything that follows.

Heart-brain coherence is a physiological state in which your heart rhythm and brain activity synchronise, shifting your nervous system out of stress or survival mode and into a state of open, receptive calm. Research from the HeartMath Institute has shown that when we enter coherence, we become significantly more able to access positive emotional states, regulate our nervous system, and move into an optimal state for learning, creativity & emotional processing.

In the context of Future Self work, coherence matters because you cannot embody a version of yourself your nervous system believes is unsafe.

If your system is running on urgency, scarcity, or low-level threat which for many women is simply the baseline of daily life , the deeper layers of this work cannot land. You may hear the words, but your body won’t receive them. It’ll feel like a lie.

Coherence creates the internal conditions for genuine embodiment to occur. It is the bridge between where you are and who you are becoming.
